Bipasha Basu on roll for ‘Shaukeen’ remake

This is an era of remakes. Following the trend, director Rohit Roy is all set to remake the 80’s sex comedy ‘Shaukeen’ which starred Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt and A.K. Hangal as the three old men who try to woo a young girl (Rati Agnihotri). Directed by Basu Chatterjee, the movie had Mithun Chakrborty playing Rati’s boyfriend.

For the role played by Rati, Rohit Roy has approached Bipasha Basu who has accepted the offer.

“Bipasha loved the script and agreed to do the film… But can’t confirm when we go on floors as the casting is still in progress,” tweeted Rohit Roy.

Meanwhile, the actress is in London to shoot the last schedule of her debut international project Singularity.

“Living in London is dangerous! Desserts here are to die for and constantly tempting me! Scones and clotted cream and now Eaton mess is messing me up,” tweeted Bipasha.

Decades have passes since Madhuri Dixit swept the world off its feet with her grace and charms with her first hit ‘Tezaab’ in 1984. Then she gave a series of superhits with Ram Lakhan, Saajan, Dil, Beta, Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Dil To Pagal Hai. Then, she took some years off when she married doctor Nene and shifted to US. Now, she is back once again with reality shows and a few flicks. She will next be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Dedh Ishqiya and Anubhav Sinha’s Gulab Gang.

Now, Madhuri has another feather added to her crown of achievements. She has a star named after her shinning in sky which happened due to the efforts of her fans.

A group of 13 members of The Empress Fanpage met the actress Thursday on the sets of dance reality show “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa”, which she is judging, to present her the star certificate.

The certificate by Star Foundation reads: “A celestial body in the sky above has been named in honour of Madhuri Dixit-Nene and is officially located in the constellation Orion.”

Not to mention here that Madhuri is overwhelmed by this honour. She tweeted:
“Wanted to thank my fans for the honour. They had a star in the Orion constellation named after me.”

Social networking is helping fans reach out to the stars and interact with them closely. One such fan Vicknesh Rai got an opportunity to interact with his favourite actress Nargis Fakhri. 


The meeting happened in Singapore over the weekend where she was attending an awards event. 

Nargis had been interacting with Vicknesh in the virtual world even before her Rockstar days.

He had been looking forward to an opportunity to meet her in person for long. His persistence paid off when Nargis flew into Singapore where he is based. She asked him to meet her at a mall. 

To her surprise, he carried a collage of all her pictures and told her to autograph them. As he was accompanied by his family, he even requested her to pose for snapshots with each of them

To auction the wardrobe and lingerie worn by the cast of a film is a common one in Hollywood, but this is for the first time in Bollywood that the clothes worn by the stars will be auctioned for charity!! Talking about Pooja Bhatt’s forthcoming ‘Jism 2’, one can easily guess about the prices they will fetch given the fact that the items will also include the lingerie worn by Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone.

The official Twitter page of Jism 2 posted a hot pic of Leone with the update which read: “Sunny Leone’s lingerie along with other clothes of her and other actors up for auction for charity… any takers?” Any? We guess many!

As a response, a fan wrote: “this is a great way of promoting de movie as well as doing charity! U marketing guys truly rock, I’m learing a lot frm U.”

The official Jism 2 page also added: “Sneak peek of the garments to be auctioned online for charity. Disrobing never got more noble”!

Veena Malik gets red hot and sensuous for the latest ad of ‘Stay On’. She has shown some steamy salsa moves with a co-dancer in the new ad for the aphrodisiac product of ‘Stay On’.

Her moves in the ad have been choreographed by Longinus Fernandes. Fernandes has the choreography of “Jai Ho” for Oscar winning movie Slumdog Millionaire and “Pappu Can’t Dance Saala” for Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na to his credit. The choreographer is all praises for Veena and goes on to say that she is crazy about dancing.

“Dancing is my passion and salsa is a new thing for me. I am quite nervous and excited about this project. Salsa is like good music, it elevates the spirit and it’s an exhilarating freedom,” Veena said in a statement.

Veena has made an impressive start in Bollywood.
